Laura Schuler is an abstract artist living and working in Hermosa Beach, California.
Laura creates large format abstract paintings incorporating mixed media such as spray paint, oil pastel, sharpie, and markers. Her inspiration is mostly automatistic but some interest is derivative of colors and textures. Laura’s most recent obsession is using a stippling technique of tiny dots to capture the texture of breaking waves into her abstract artworks. You can find daily creative inspiration on her Instagram account:@lauraschulerstudio.
Laura launched her #FindHBArt Program in 2016 which somewhat secretly places small original artworks in public places for people to find and keep. The program works to create awareness of and develop the burgeoning Hermosa Beach art scene. Read more about Laura’s program here.
